MCV AWARDS 2012: EA crowned best games publisher

EA emerged as the winner of the coveted best Games Publisher award at last night’s MCV Awards 2012.

It did so thanks to a string of strong releases that have seen the publisher dominate the UK charts since the turn of the year and put in a market-leading performance in 2011.

There were four other winners in the People & Industry category.

Centresoft won the High Street Distribution Team award while 505 Games’ amazing efforts with chart hit Zumba Fitness saw it scoop the Sales Triumph prize.

Bethesda won the Digital Distribution Team title while Ubisoft was awarded the best Sales Team award.

The MCV Industry Excellence Awards celebrate the commercial and creative successes made by the UK computer and video games industry across fields including retail, PR & marketing and publishing.

This year’s MCV Awards ceremony took place on at the Lancaster London Hotel and marked the 10th Anniversary of the event.
