Arendt and Elliott promoted at GamesRadar

Future has announced a pair of senior promotions within the GamesRadar global editorial team.

Susan Arendt has been named as US executive editor. She joined the site as managing editor from Joystiq a year ago. Meanwhile, commissioning editor Matt Elliot joins the global senior editorial team as senior commissioning editor.

Both roles take effect immediately. Meanwhile, US editor in chief Ludwig Kietzmann has left the site.

"I’m pleased to cap my first year at GamesRadar+ by stepping into my new role as Executive Editor, US,” Arendt said. The shifting sands of web media are an ongoing challenge, but I have complete confidence in our team’s ability to adapt and thrive.

We’re focused and committed to finding ways both silly and serious to cover everything you love in gaming and entertainment – because we love it, too."

Elliott added: I’m massively pleased to join GamesRadar+ at such an exciting time. It’s enriching to be surrounded by such bright and brilliant people, and I look forward to sharing my hot takes on gargantuan RPGs (I get disproportionately excited about the weather in The Witcher 3), Star Wars and my inevitable, doomed search for companionship in Mass Effect: Andromeda.”
