CD Projekt RED announces "triple-A" RPG Cyberpunk

Polish developer CD Projekt RED, best known for The Witcher series, today announced Cyberpunk, a futuristic triple A” sci-fi RPG based on Mike Pondsmith’s Cyberpunk pen-and-paper system.

Cyberpunk is being worked on by a second team at CD Projekt RED, headed by veterans of the two The Witcher games. Like The Witcher, Cyberpunk is said to be richly detailed” and non-linear”. The game is targeted at mature gamers, with the devs warning that it will be "brutal where it needs to be".

Unlike The Witcher, however, in Cyberpunk, players will be able to choose from one of many classes, and will be equipped with cybernetic implants and high tech weaponry.

No platforms or release date has yet been announce for Cyberpunk.
