New funding and virtual reality tracks added to July conference

Develop: Brighton opens call for speakers

Tandem Event has is now accepting speaker proposals for this year’s Develop: Brighton.

Once again, the conference will explore every aspect of games development and the industry, with two new tracks offering further focus on some key areas.

Firstly, a new stream on funding will take place alongside the Evolve conference on Tuesday, July 12th. This will also include a funding workshop for development start-ups.

Secondly, a virtual reality track will run in addition to the other topics during the main conference on Wednesday, July 13th and Thursday 14th. This will be complemented by a new VR Galley in the expo area.

Speakers interested in delivering a talk for these or any of the other tracks should head to www.developconference.com. The deadline for proposals is March 21st, 2016.

Other new features include a networking tool that will help delegates arrange meetings in a dedicated networking area.

“Year on year, we aim to keep Develop:Brighton relevant and informative to the needs of game developers,” said Andy Lane, managing director of Tandem Events. “By adding tracks focused on VR and funding, we’re providing a conference that tackles the hot issues facing a modern day developer, from indie startup to large studio.

“For those planning on submitting a session, we like our talks to offer delegates practical advice, best practise guidance and inspiration so all sessions really need to provide a ‘Take Away’ statement that clearly summarises what delegates can expect to get out of the session.”

Develop: Brighton will be held once again at the Hilton Metropole.

Our own Develop Awards will run alongside on Wednesday, July 13th. We’ll be opening the call for nominations in just a few weeks’ time.
