Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 launch moved up to August

Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 – the latest in the hit indie horror series – is launching sooner than expected.

Creator Scott Cawthon has confirmed the game is now set to release on August 8th – the one-year anniversary of the original Five Nights at Freddy’s launch on Steam.

The original October 31st release date still carries some significance, as Cawthon has promised to substitute extra content for free release on the holiday.

Five Nights at Freddy’s have taken the YouTube and Twitch communities by storm over the past year, with each rapid fire release becoming a success seemingly overnight.
