Myst TV show in development for Hulu – report

A television show based on Cyan’s 1993 graphic adventure puzzle game Myst is reportedly being considered for video streaming service Hulu.

Deadlinesources claim the series is currently pending script approval. The show will reportedly explore the origins of the island of Myst from the game where a man wakes up on a mystery island with absolutely no idea who he is, where is, or how he got there."

According to Deadline, Legendary Television and Digital Media picked up the rights to adapt the IP for TV last year, and have subsequently tasked producer Matt Tolmach and writer Evan Daugherty with turning Myst into a television drama.

Legendary produced an adaptation of Capcom’s Dead Rising franchise in 2014.
