PlayStation Plus coming to Vita with four free games

PS3 users have been enjoying the many benefits of PlayStation Plus for a while, but starting 21st November, Sony will welcome PlayStation Vita users into the fold.

The subscription-based service gives users automatic game and firmware updates, cloud game saves, discounts on PlayStation Store purchases, full game trials, beta access, and more.

If you already have a Plus subscription for your PS3, that subscription will extend to the Vita at no extra cost, and will come with an additional 1 GB of cloud storage.

Also part of the Plus subscription is the Instant Game Collection – full games that are available for subscribers absolutely free.

The Instant Game Collection for Vita users currently includes four games – Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, Chronovolt and Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack.

While Uncharted and Gravity Rush will remain in the collection for a longer duration, one of the latter two will be replaced with a new game after a month. A new game will be rotated in every month.

It’s worth noting that these four free games are over and above the ten games already available through the PS3 Instant Game Collection; titles like Crysis 2, Bulletstorm and Infamous 2.

PlayStation Plus subscriptions are available at Rs 885 for 90 days and Rs 2,950 for one year.
