Report: Nintendo Power magazine shutting down

Nintendo Power’s near 25-year run is apparently coming to an end.

A report out of Ars Technica states that Future Publishing is planning to stop production of the magazine.

The report was seemingly confirmed hours later by Nintendo Power senior editor Chris Hoffman sending out Twitter posts on how he was sad to see it go” and that the team would try to make the last issues memorable.”

Both posts have since been deleted from the social network.

Nintendo Power magazine debuted in 1988. The publication was distributed and published by Nintendo until 2007, when the work was outsourced to Future Publishing.

Members of the magazine’s editorial team are supposedly moving on to other Future properties.
