The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt announced for PC and "high-end platforms"

CD Projekt RED has unveiled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the conclusion to its celebrated The Witcher trilogy.

The announcement was made via Game Informer, where the developers revealed that the story in the third game will be a more personal one for the now old and weary Geralt.

The Witcher 3 will debut CD Projekt’s new REDengine 3 technology, which allows the game to render an open world that’s thirty times larger than that of its predecessor and bigger than Skyrim’s massive game world.

More impressively, players will be able to travel through The Witcher 3’s islands, forests and towns without a single loading screen.

The open-world will allow for more exploration than was possible in the earlier games of the successful RPG franchise, the developer has said.

CD Projekt RED has announced that the game will release in 2014 for PC and "all high-end platforms available", which we assume are the next Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
