Bournemouth University has become the latest member of games industry trade body Tiga, the college has announced.
The university offers a BSc in games technology, though it is not known how much of the course is based on study as opposed to practice – the latter being something widely seen as a priority for the UK games industry.
Dr Christos Gatzidis, a lecturer, said Bournemouth University joined Tiga because it is “committed to working with the industry to further enhance our courses and create benefits for our students”.
He added: “We would love to speak to Tiga members about opportunities for guest lectures, research collaboration and student placements.”
