Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance still on for Western Xbox 360 launch, despite Japan no-show

The Xbox 360 version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will come out in Europe, Konami has told MCV, despite it’s cancellation in Japan.

Earlier today Metal Gear developer Kojima Productions said that the Xbox 360 version of Revengeance would not be getting a Japanese release. The firm said there were ‘various reasons’ for it not happening. However, it’s unlikely to have a massive impact on the game’s success in the East as Microsoft’s console has struggled to take-off in Japan.

But this will not impact the game’s European launch, a Konami spokesperson has said. With the game still on-course for a February launch.

Metal Gear Solid Rising: Revengeance is developed by Platinum Games, the studio behind critical hits including Bayonetta, Vanquish and MadWorld.
