Metro 2033 moves 1.5m units

4A Games’ immersive shooter Metro 2033 has surpassed 1.5m sales, THQ has announced.

Joyystiq reports THQ in an investor meeting this morning stated the game was profitable, but also acknowledged that the game could have received better marketing support.

"The reality is, back then, THQ didn’t market the game and we’re very aware of that," SVP of Global Marketing at THQ Rich Williams said during the meeting.

"We’re absolutely committed to marketing [Metro: Last Light] appropriately."
