MICROSOFT: Dark Souls III confirmed for spring 2016

Many had expected it to be revealed at Sony’s conference later tonight, but Microsoft has played host to official confirmation of Dark Souls III.

No details about the game were confirmed, although the trailer seemed to directly reference things from 2014’s Dark Souls II.

That in itself would mark a change of strategy for the series. The third title contained only the loosest and most cryptic narrative ties to its predecessor, designed pretty much exclusively for hardcore fans.

A pair of hands were seen caressing a crown, tying in nicely with the Crowns DLC released for DSII.

Also seen was a Giant Lord, complete with towering weapon, who seemed to be rising from the grave. DSII told a backstory that touched upon the demise of the Giants.
