Microsoft readies $250 Halo 5 limited edition

Halo 5: Guardians my not be coming out until the end of the year, but we already know what we can expect in terms of limited editions.

Pre-orders have kicked off in the US and gamers can either pick the Standard Edition for $59.99 (About 39, but expect it to be around 50 in the UK), a $99 limited edition featuring ‘digital content and exclusive items wrapped in a steel book’ and a $249.99 Limited Collector’s Edition, which includes all of the above with a special commemorative numbered statue designed by developer 343 Industries.

The quest of the hunter and the hunted has begun, today marks the kickoff of the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta, giving fans around the world their first taste of the next evolution of Halo combat.

The announcement comes at Halo 5: Guardians hits Xbox One in the form of a multiplayer beta, offered to owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

It is set to be a major year for Halo, with the aforementioned Halo 5, a Halo mobile title and the Halo TV series, created in collaboration with Steven Spielberg.
