MICROSOFT: Splinter Cell: Black List set for spring 2013

The next game in the Splinter Cell franchise is set to arrive in spring next year.

As rumoured last week and confirmed this afternoon, Splinter Cell: Black List was unveiled at Microsoft’s E3 press conference today.

It will launch on PS3, PC and Xbox 360. The 360-edition will also include voice recognition for those gamers that own Kinect.

The title is the first production from Ubisoft Toronto, which has been supported by development teams at Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Shanghai.

Ubisoft says the new game will feature an arsenal of new gadgets, reinvented classic weapons and a new ‘killing-in-motion’ fighting style. This style allows players to execute multiple enemies with one motion.

The last Splinter Cell game was 2010’s Splinter Cell Conviction, which sold over 2m copies worldwide.
