Milestone to distribute 505 Games in India; Payday 2 to get retail release

Publisher 505 Games has tied up with Milestone Interactive to release its forthcoming games in India.

The first game to release through this partnership is Payday 2, the co-op FPS from Overkill Software (a subsidiary of The Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness developer Starbreeze). Its predecessor, Payday: The Heist, was a digital-only release, but the new game is also headed to retail.

Payday 2 will be released in India at Rs 2,499 on PS3 and Xbox 360. The PC release will follow at a later date.

Interestingly, the Payday 2 preorder edition for PS3 (which also includes the Lootbag DLC) is available digitally for Rs 1,899 on PSN.

505 Games is, of course, also the publisher for Trickstar Games’ Ashes Cricket 2013, which arrives in November. So cricket fans can rest assured that Ashes too will release in India.

Payday 2 has an international release of 16th August on consoles, but we’re awaiting confirmation on the Indian release date.
