Minecraft Xbox One Edition will take Xbox 360 save transfers

Microsoft has confirmed that the upcoming Xbox One version of Minecraft will allow users to transfer their saves from Xbox 360.

After months of teaming up with Mojang, we can confirm that Minecraft X360 Edition will save transfer to Xbox One Edition,” Xbox boss Phil Spencer said. More news soon.”

Earlier this week Mojang said that it intended to offer the same functionality for Minecraft PS3 owners who intend to upgrade to the PS4 version, which itself is due out either this quarter or the next.

Mojang isn’t yet able to confirm whether the Vita version will offer any save transfer functionality.
