Mirror’s Edge + zombies = new next-gen title Dying Light

Warner has lifted the lid on a brand new zombie game scheduled for release on next-gen consoles in 2014.

Called Dying Light, the game instantly harks back to the parkour-focused gameplay of Mirror’s Edge. It’s being developed by Dead Island studio Techland.

Players will by day scavenge the gameworld for supplies and weapons whereas by night focus shifts to defending themselves against the increasingly aggressive infected.

We are excited to partner with Techland on Dying Light, which is an original gaming experience for next-generation consoles,” Warner America’s senior VP os sales and operations Kevin Kebodeaux stated.

The partnership with Techland allows us to combine their successful development capabilities with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s one-of-a-kind publishing expertise to deliver on this title.”

Dying Light will hit Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in 2014.
