Apple iTablet landing in March?

More news reports swirl around the new supposed Apple tablet device – with sources telling the Wall Street Journal the touch-screen kit arrives in March and will cost $1,000.

The business paper says its sources say screen will boast a 10 or 11-inch screen, and will be pitched as "a multimedia device that will let people watch movies and television shows, play games, surf the Internet and read electronic books and newspapers".

"People briefed by Apple also say that the company believes it could redefine the way consumers interact with a variety of content.

Textbooks and newspapers, for example, could be presented differently through color screens, a touch interface, and the integration of live up-to-the-minute information from multiple sources," the WSJ also adds.

The $1,000 price tag might have to be taken with a pinch of salt, however – the source there are analysts estimates.
