Major coup as the Mobage platform will be pre-loaded into Samsung smartphones

DeNA signs significant Android deal

Social gaming giant DeNA will pre-load its gaming platform, Mobage, onto Samsung’s Android handsets worldwide.

The partnership will bring Mobage features such as networking with friends, connecting with players around the world and tracking status to Samsung users.

“We are pleased to collaborate with ngmoco,” said Kwanghyun Kwon, senior vice president of Media Solutions Center at Samsung.

“As social gaming features rise in popularity and importance for mobile experiences, Samsung will continuously invest to provide the best experience to our consumers.”

The Mobage social gaming platform for smartphones is spearheaded by DeNA’s recently-acquired subsidiary, ngmoco.

In the iPhone space Apple’s own system Game Center has unsettled the progress of social gaming wannabees, but the Android space is wide open.
