Fifth Journey developing mobile game with actor and comedian Kevin Hart

Developer Fifth Journey is to create a mobile game starring and co-written by Ride Along, Get Hard and This is the End actor Kevin Hart.

The untitled project is part of a wider partnership between Hart’s Hartbeat Digital firm and movie production company Lionsgate which will also see the launch of the ‘Laugh Out Loud’ video on demand service, Indiewire reported.

Described as a ‘social adventure game’, the title will see players accompany Hart, playing himself, on a rock star tour around the US, appearing in films, hosting award ceremonies and competing mini-games.

Dedicated to mobile spin-offs of blockbuster film franchises, Fifth Journey previously developed a tie-in to Sylvester Stallone-starring action movie franchise The Expendables.

"Lionsgate has always been a great partner of mine, and I’m more than excited to take our business and creative relationship to new levels," said Hart, failing to express the level of humour for which he has become known.

"I understand the direction in which the television business is headed, and I see this big new space toward which audiences are starting to gravitate. I believe that launching this venture together now puts us ahead of the pack."
