Games absent from Top 25 US mobile apps chart – report

New data revealing the top 25 most popular mobile apps in the US for June 2015 shows Facebook out in front, while games are no where to be found.

Gamasutrareports on new data from analytics company ComScore, which reveals not one game made the list.

The firm attributes the lack of games to audience fragmentation. According to the ComScore, 11 per cent of time spent on mobile devices is spent playing games – there are just far more viable choices when compared to the social network category Facebook falls in.

ComScore notably measures monthly unique users instead of monthly active users, in an effort to keep multiple mobile device users from skewing results. Here’s an image courtesy ofQuartzbreaking down the full list:
