Games being readied for autumn debut of Nokia's new N-Gage platform

I-play commits to N-Gage development

The first two N-Gage titles to be released by I-play in 2008 will be racer World Rally Championship and classic puzzler Super Mah Jong.

I-play says both games will push the performance of N-Gage handsets, while staying true to the company’s ‘one thumb’ casual gaming philosophy.

I-play CEO David Gosen said: "We’re very excited to be cooperating with Nokia. The awareness that the launch later this fall alone will bring to the consumer and the mobile industry will help propel mobile gaming to the front and centre of entertainment consumed on the mobile."

Gregg Sauter, director of 3rd party publishing at Nokia, said: "I-play brings a diverse games portfolio to N-Gage, and we’re excited to have them on board."

Other publishers to have publicly committed to N-Gage to date include EA, IG Fun, THQ Wireless, Gameloft and Digital Chocolate. Nokia is also developing first party games for the platform, which will be made available across multiple Series 60 smartphones.
