iOS 4.1 doesnt fix death grip

Having pledged to fix the snowballing antenna problem via a firmware update, early reports suggest that the upcoming iOS 4.1 does not eradicate the ‘death grip’ bug that is threatening to bring down Apple’s iPhone empire.

MobileCrunch reports that while Apple’s previously announced changes – including signal bars of a larger size and an overall lower reported signal strength – are all present and correct many users are still able to induce a drop in signal when holding the phone’s lower left hand corner.

All eyes now point to tomorrow’s anticipated press conference where Apple is expected to address the issue in some capacity.
