iOS 9 hits next week

iOS 9 is set to release next week, along with Apple Watch’s latest operating system.

During Apple’s event today in San Francisco, the company confirmed both iOS 9 and watchOS 2 will launch next Wednesday, September 16th.

The upcoming OS for iPhone and iPad devices packs three new frameworks designed for gaming: ReplayKit, Model I/O and Gameplay Kit. Those join the previously introduced Metal, SpriteKit and SceneKit framekworks.

The news comes alongside an array of related Apple reveals, including new models of the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
