iPad 2 is a UK sell-out

Apple has yet to officially confirm it, but newspaper The Daily Mail is reporting that the iPad 2 has officially sold out in the UK.

At present it’s impossible to determine whether this is primarily due to (the undoubtedly extremely high) demand or more because of the wider pressure Apple is facing on supplies, driven mainly by the massive success it has enjoyed in the US.

The newspaper also claims that there is currently a four week waiting list for anyone who has yet to obtain an iPad 2 in the UK.

The iPad 2 sold in the region of 1m units in its opening weekend in the US.
