Perforce launches iPhone monitoring app

Perforce has released P4Scout, a real-time server monitoring iPhone application, on the App Store.

Just in case you didn’t want to leave your work at the office, the app gives obsessive-compulsive server administrators the ability to check uptime, number of users and time remaining until licenses expire. It’s developed with the new Perforce Derived API for Objective-C, which the company will be releasing soon.

“Many of our customers have huge Perforce installations supporting thousands of users who access their servers around the clock," said Christopher Seiwald, president and chief technology officer of Perforce Software.

"System administration is a big responsibility and we hope P4Scout will contribute to their peace of mind. This new app offers a quick way to check on a server or multiple servers and confirm everything is running smoothly.”
