Reports suggest September 21st launch for iPhone 5 in the UK

The iPhone 5 will launch in the UK on September 21st, according to online reports.

The new handset will be revealed to the world in the late hours of Wednesday afternoon (September 12th) via an exclusive event in the US.

Geeky Gadgets claims to have word from more than one source, including one from a major UK mobile carrier”, that the device will officially go on sale in the UK on Friday September 21st.

Backing up this claim, MacRumours claims to have learnt that courier firm FedEx is making preparations for a surge volume event” taking place between September 21st-24th.

The company is apparently also limiting employee travel and training around this period, making sure as many workers as possible are on hand to deal with the surge of shipments”.
