Clash of Clans firm saw its earnings triple last year

Supercell revenues nears $2bn for 2014

Finnish start-up-turned-mobile-giant Supercell generated revenues of $1.7bn in 2014.

The full-year figure is almost triple the amount made in 2013, which was reported as $570m according to the Wall Street Journal.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation for 2014 came in at $565m – more than double the $267m seen in 2013.

The company’s success has been driven by the continued popularity of mobile hits Clash of Clans and Hay Day, as well as the launch of Boom Beach, which went live last year.

Last year, we reported that at one point Clash of Clans was earning the firm a whopping $645,000 per day.
