Terraria heading to mobile devices this summer

Indie darling Terraria will land on mobile devices in the coming months, following successful runs on PCs and consoles.

The mobile development will be handled by Dutch studio Codeglue under publisher 505 Games.

Specific platforms were omitted from the original announcement, but a 505 rep confirmed to Polygon that the game will be available on iOS, Android and Windows Phone 8.

Terraria, developed by independent studio Re-Logic, debuted on Windows in 2011. The game picked up publisher 505 Games and developer Engine Software for the console version, which launched on XBLA and PSN earlier this year.

A Vita version is in the works at Engine Software for a summer 2013 release as well.
