Ex-Bizarre Creations developers move on to new jobs

Tiny Invaders developer Hogrocket closes doors

UK mobile developer Hogrocket has closed its doors just 18 months after being formed.

As reported by Games Industry, the studio was founded by Ben Ward, Stephen Cakebread and Peter Collier after the closure of Bizarre Creations.

The developer had focused on iPhone and iPad titles, with its star game coming in the shape of the popular title Tiny Invaders.

Despite being well-received, the studio’s free founders have all move on to new jobs, with Collier joining up with Cheshire-based developer Plademic.

Collier blamed financial and geographical issues for putting the team on ‘indefinite hiatus’.

"Unfortunately Hogrocket is on indefinite hiatus and the three of us have all moved onto new things," said Collier.

"This was due to a combination of factors, ranging from geographical to financial. It’s sad but the three of us all learned a lot."
