Warface registers 25m users

Free-to-play shooter Warface has reached 25m registered users, Crytek has announced.

In a news post on Crytek’s site, the company revealed the figure – adding that the milestone was achieved in just two years within Russian, North American and European territories.

It is a fantastic achievement for our franchise and for our teams, and we’d like to thank Warface players everywhere for their support.” Crytek CEO and creative director Cevat Yerli said.

Warface is part of our games-as-service model, which means the game thrives off and revolves around our community. We look forward to delivering more of the great gameplay experiences that they have come to expect, and can promise the growing ranks of Warface fans that the franchise still has lots of surprises in store."

The game entered open beta on Xbox 360 earlier this month, and beta launches in China, Japan and Taiwan are planned for later this year.
