Monster firm gobbling up UK games staff

Moshi Monsters creator Mind Candy is poised to become one of the largest games firms in the UK.

Its current recruitment campaign will see the firm double its headcount to 200 in the next 12 months.Such phenomenal growth comes off the back of an active strategy to push out the Moshi Monsters brand through spin-off merchandise.

Mind Candy is now hunting for technical staff, producers, licensing experts, marketing execs and mobile developers.

Recruitment head Richard Chipchase told MCV: At the start of the year we were 45 strong, now we’re closer to 100. I estimate we’ll double in size again over the year. We aren’t hung up on hiring staff from within the games industry. We’re open to meeting people from most industry backgrounds.”
