MotorStorm pulled in New Zealand

Sony has decided to cancel the release of PS3 racer MotorStorm Apocalypse in New Zealand.

Kotaku reports that the move was made as a result of the recent devastating earthquakes that have hit the Christchurch region.

Retailers have been telling customers that "the decision has been made now out of respect for those affected by the earthquake", though adds that a release at some point in the future might not be out of the question.

MotorStorm Apocalypse is due out in the UK on March 16th.
