Nadella confirms Microsoft’s commitment to Xbox business

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has dismissed any suggestion that he wants to sell off the Xbox business.

"I have no intent to do anything different with Xbox than we are doing today," he told interviewers at the Code Conference in California, as reported by The Verge, adding that his stance on the Bing search business is the same – which, he adds, accounts for 30 per cent of the search market.

Rumours of Microsoft selling off its Xbox business have been circulatingfor over a year. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen even argued late last year that such a movewould be beneficial.

However, new Xbox boss Phil Spencer has recentlydismissed the speculationout of hand.
