NASCAR the Game 2011 confirmed

After a year without a NASCAR game on the shelves, Activision has announced it will release Nascar the Game 2011 next February.

Developed by Eutechnyx, the game features a Sprint Cup Series Championship, real drivers with unique AI, 22 tracks, an interactive celebration mode and 16-player multiplayer.

Games officially based on the US motor sport series were previously published by EA which announced it wouldn’t be producing a game in 2010. Activision’s NASCAR the Game 2011 will be released on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.

The NASCAR video game fanbase has been underserved for a long time and we’re bringing them something very special,” said Activision’s general manager David Oxford.

Nascar’s MD of licensed products Blake Davidson said: With Activision and Eutechnyx as partners, we have the perfect combination to set the bar for all future NASCAR titles.”

Eutechnyx exec VP Ed Martin added: We’re working very closely with NASCAR, the drivers, the teams, the tracks and the sponsors to give this game the polish and push the fans deserve.”
