Need for Speed: Most Wanted gets 31st October release date

EA announced at its E3 press conference today that Need for Speed: Most Wanted would be released on 31st October, 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3, PC, PS Vita, and iOS.

Developed by Criterion Games, the game is a reboot of the 2005 title of the same name.

Criterion presented a demo at the press conference, and revealed that it would feature a new version of the Autolog system that was first introduced in 2010’s Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, and has since been employed in several EA games. As part of the new Autolog system, points earned within the friends leaderboard would determine who attains the top ‘Most Wanted’ position.

Like the 2005 title, which was developed by Black Box, the new Most Wanted will be set in an open world.
