Need for Speed: Most Wanted remake is official

EA has confirmed via its Facebook page what we’ve already known for a while – the next title in the Need for Speed franchise will be a re-imagining of Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

The original Most Wanted was released in 2005 and to this day remains a fan favourite, so much so that it makes regular appearances at competitive tournaments across the India.

While the original was developed by Black Box, the team behind last year’s forgettable Need for Speed: The Run, the remake will be helmed by Burnout creators Criterion Games, who also made the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit reboot in 2010.

You can expect a full reveal at EA’s E3 press conference on Monday night. In the mean time, you can check out the first screenshot from the upcoming game here.
