New Call of Juarez and Rayman iOS titles revealed in Paris

Ubisoft has revealed both a (perhaps surprise) new entry in the Call of Juarez series as well as an iOS outing for the rejuvenated Rayman.

Develop Techland’s main aspiration with Call of Juarez: Gunslinger will be to improve upon its predecessor, COJ: The Cartel, which was mauled by critics and notched a weak commercial performance.

Its main deviation will be that it will ditch the modern day setting of Cartel and return to the series’ more traditional Wild West setting.

Interestingly, the game will be another to shun retail altogether in favour of a digital-only release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It’s scheduled for release in early 2013.

What’s less surprising is a new outing for rejuvenated Francaises platform hero Rayman, who will hit iOS on September 20th in new title Rayman Jungle Run.

The game will lift assets and stylings from recent hit Rayman Origins. Our hero will run automatically, with taps of the screen used to control jumping, flying and punching.
