New Gears of War website launches hours before Xbox E3 conference

A new Gears of War site has been opened ahead of Microsoft’s E3 media briefing.

The new portal was announced via the game’s official Twitter account (below). This was twelve hours before Xbox’s E3 press conference, where it is expected the first Xbox One Gears of War title will be announced.

Currently there’s a message on the site’s homepage from current Gears of War developer The Coalition – formerly Black Tusk. It says that the site’s new forums are up and running, and that fans can check their game stats. That’s on top of a new community page.

As well, it is rumoured that an Xbox remake of the original 2006 Gears of Warwill be announced.
