New Mind Candy mag aims to promote coding for young girls

It’s becoming a thankfully common trend for developers to target kids at a young age in order to teach them more about coding, but rarely is it focused specifically on girls.

And yet that’s exactly the target audience for Mind Candy’s Poppet magazine, a new publication dedicated to teaching young girls more about the potential for a career in the technology industry.

The magazine stars Poppet – a familiar face to Moshi Monsters fans – as the editor and explores the roles open to women, including developers, product managers and coders. There will be interviews with various women employed by Mind Candy and activities that teach readers more about the puzzle-like nature of coding.
