New publisher Chorus Worldwide wants to take Western games to the East

Western mobile game devs are being offered a new route into the lucrative Asian digital games market.

Chorus Worldwide, founded by Shintaro Kanaoya, helps devs to fully localise their games for markets such as Japan and Korea.

Its first two games are Alex Trowers’ Glyph Quest and Beartrap Games’ Sky Patrol.

Japan is the largest app market in the world and one that shouldn’t be ignored”, CEO Kanaoya said. Over $5.5bn was spent on just games in the App and Play Stores during 2013, accounting for nearly one third of the global games spend in app stores, and a 78 per cent increase year-over-year.”
