Nintendo to delight core gamers at E3

Nintendo is set to reveal its full fourth quarter line-up at E3 next month, and the firm is planning to please its core-gamer contingent in the run-up to the show.

Nintendo’s Marc Franklin told Gamepro that the hardcore gamer is still important to the Wii’s success.

"The clear majority of people waiting in line outside retailers on Sunday mornings to buy their Wii consoles are core gamers," he said.

We recently announced the upcoming release of Mario Super Sluggers, and additionally we will be announcing several new titles that core gamers will be interested in around the time of E3."

The Mario publisher’s current confirmed end-of-year line up only consists of Mario Super Sluggers, but rumours are circulating that F Zero, Starfox and even a Kid Icarus revival could be set to join it.
