Now Mario Party 9 skips GAME and Gamestation

A further blow has been delivered to GAME this morning with reports that Mario Party 9 will not be stocked by the retailer.

Eurogamer reports that official confirmation should arrive shortly.

It’s the third Nintendo-published title in a row to cut GAME loose on release day following the chain’s failure to secure stock of 3DS release Tekken 3D and Wii RPG The Last Story in recent weeks.

Of course, the lack of Mario Party is nowhere near as severe a blow to the chain as the news that it won’t be stocking Mass Effect 3.

EA’s SSX is expected to appear in store this Friday.

MCV is still awaiting official confirmation of all this morning’s reports.
