Obsidian’s XBLA action RPG ‘on hold’

Obsidian Entertainment has official word that its previously announced XBLA game, originally targeted for a Q1 2012 launch, is currently at an impasse.

"That project is currently on hold; we are looking at where we might want to take it," CEO Feargus Urquhart told Joystiq.

The original IP and action RPG was set to arrive by this time for 360’s digital channel, but it would seem that’s no longer the case.

Obsidian is still working on THQ’s South Park RPG, and was recently in the news for coming up a point short of their Fallout: New Vegas metacritic goal – subsequently costing the developer bonus pay.
