Official PS4 Remote Play streaming headed to PC

The ability to stream PS4 games to PC is coming to PS4 – officially, this time.

Days after a programmer announced that he would launch an unofficial way to utilise PlayStation’s Remote Play functionality on PC, Sony has revealed it is working on its own solution.

Worldwide studios head Shuhei Yoshida confirmed the news via Twitter, saying that the official app would also cover Mac users.

It’s ultimately unsurprising news, given the Xbox One’s current ability to stream gameplay across to Windows 10 – a feature that the PS4 has lacked up until this point, although it has allowed players to take their PS4 titles onto the handheld PlayStation Vita through use of Remote Play.
