Own Dishonored on PS3? You can nab the PS4 Definitive Edition for half price

Fans of Bethesda’s steampunk-flavoured RPG will be able to experience the revamped version of the game at a significant discount.

That’s according to the digital pre-orders for the title on Sony’s PlayStation Store in the US, which featured a cut-price ‘Definitive Edition upgrade’ alongside the full game.

Although the page now appears to have been pulled, the Definitive Edition upgrade was priced at $20 – half of the regular $40 tag.

To access the offer, players must own a copy of the original Dishonored on PS3. Obviously, it must be a digital version – discs won’t count.

Luckily for many, Dishonored was actually one of Sony’s PlayStation Plus picks back in April, so anyone savvy enough to register the title to their account will be able to grab the deal.

Whether a similar offer will surface for Xbox 360 and Xbox One is unclear.

Dishonored: Definitive Edition is due out on August 28th here in the UK, ahead of sequel Dishonored 2 next year.
