Capcom’s Deep Down will be free-to-play on PS4

Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida has confirmed that PS4 RPG Deep Down will be a free-to-play title.

The game, which was earlier this year confirmed as being a PS4 exclusive, is expected to go into open beta close” to PS4’s Japanese launch date of February 22nd.

Sony has previously said that F2P games will not require a user to be subscribed to PlayStation Plus to access.

Deep Down is a fantasy action game that pits players against fire-breathing dragons and other monsters. It is being developed by Street Fighter creator Yoshinori Ono. The title uses a brand new game engine, codenamed Panta Rhei.
