Escape Dead Island announced for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360

Stealth and mystery title Escape Dead Island – the latest spinoff in the zombie horror series – is heading to PC and last-gen consoles, publisher Deep Silver has announced.

The game is described as a story-driven game that requires more tact and deduction than previous Dead Island titles.

Swedish studio Fatshark is taking on development duties. The company previously developed titles such as Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2, Lead and Gold and War of the Roses.

Deep Silver has already produced a pair of Dead Island spinoffs since the original title’s release in 2011 – action title Dead Island Riptide and MOBA game Dead Island Epidemic.

Escape Dead Island is set for a Q4 2014 release for $39.99 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Dead Island 2 is still on its way as well, carrying a release window of 2015 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
