CD Projekt RED reveals The Witcher MOBA game for mobile platforms

MOBA title The Witcher Battle Arena is heading to mobile devices later this year, designer CD Projekt RED has announced.

The unveiling confirms a report from earlier this year that The Witcher developer had some kind of mobile effort in the works.

The Witcher Battle Arena will be a free-to-play offering, with built-in microtransactions included specifically for speeding up leveling (and nothing else). All items and characters – including vanity items – can be unlocked just by playing the game.

The RPG franchise spinoff will arrive on iOS, Android and Windows Phone platforms at some point in Q4 2014 – and while CD Projekt RED designed the game, Fuero Games will be responsible for its development.
